Severe weather conditions caused by Storm Elena continue to batter Cyprus, bringing heavy snowfall and landslides that have disrupted road access across the island.
Police have advised that roads leading to the Troodos Mountains, including the Platres-Troodos, Karvounas-Troodos, and Prodromos-Troodos routes, are currently open only to vehicles equipped with snow chains or four-wheel drive due to hazardous snowy conditions.
In addition, the Kykkos-Pedoulas and Kampos-Orkontas roads remain open but are affected by rockfalls and landslides, making them potentially dangerous for drivers.
Authorities are urging motorists to exercise caution, drive at reduced speeds, and maintain safe distances from other vehicles to prevent accidents.
