Two British women have accused social media influencer, Andrew Tate of rape and strangulation, while a third woman has alleged she was raped by his brother Tristan Tate, the BBC reported on Monday.
The Tate brothers, aged 37 and 36, currently face charges in Romania of human trafficking and forming an organised crime group to sexually exploit women. Andrew Tate is also charged with rape. Both men strongly deny all allegations against them.
Two women, identified by pseudonyms Anna and Sienna, detailed separate incidents of alleged rape and sexual violence by Andrew Tate dating back to 2013 when he lived in Luton, England.
Anna told the BBC that Tate strangled and raped her, later sending her disturbing messages about the incident. Sienna described losing consciousness during an alleged attack.
A third woman, using the pseudonym Daisy, accused Tristan Tate of rape in Romania in 2017 while she was working for the brothers’ webcam business.
The BBC report states that Andrew Tate denied ever having strangled or had non-consensual sex with a woman during an interview last year.
The allegations are separate from ongoing legal proceedings against the Tates in Romania, where they are under house arrest. Prosecutors there are also considering new allegations against Andrew Tate, including having sex with a minor and trafficking underage persons.
In the UK, Bedfordshire Police have begun extradition proceedings against both brothers on allegations of rape and human trafficking from 2012-2015, unrelated to the women interviewed by the BBC.
