An African man who was being sought in connection with the attempted murder of two Nepalese at dawn yesterday in Limassol, was arrested this afternoon at a supermarket cafeteria.
After the city’s CID issued photos of the suspect, it received a tip off that the man in question was sitting at a cafeteria. Police spotted the 32 year old on site and found him in possession of a knife with what was established to be blood stains.
He was arrested and remanded in custody in connection with two cases of attempted murder.
One of the victims, a 33 year old, suffered two stab wounds in the back and is being treated in the intensive care unit of the Limassol hospital, still critical and intubated, but now in stable condition.
