Nicosia resident Christoforos Christoforou, 73, vacationing in Peyia with his wife, was found unconscious in a pool villa on Friday.
According to Paphos Police, Christoforou, who had arrived for a short holiday the previous day, lost consciousness while in the pool.
An ambulance rushed him to Paphos Hospital, where doctors sadly pronounced him dead.
The cause of death remains undetermined and awaits a mandatory autopsy.
The Peyia Police Station is handling the investigation.
