From open-air film screenings to beer festivals and photography exhibitions, this week’s cultural calendar has something for everyone across Cyprus.

Screenings

Nicosia, Pantheon. Screening of “Late Fame,” directed by Kent Jones. A bittersweet story starring Willem Dafoe. Also starring: Greta Lee, Edmund Donovan. Based on the novella by Arthur Schnitzler, the film is a melancholic and often unexpectedly funny story about art, ambition, recognition that comes too late, and the trap of being discovered just when you believe it’s all over. September 3/4/5/6/7/8/9. Weekdays 8.30pm. Weekends 6pm & 8.30pm. Running time 96′. Subtitles: Greek.

Nicosia, Constantia Open-Air Cinema, 9pm. The 27th Summer Screenings Marathon runs every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday until September 13. Tonight’s screening is the dramedy “Love,” directed by Dag Johan Haugerud. Set against the backdrop of an Oslo summer, Marianne, a doctor, meets Tor, a nurse, by chance on the night ferry. Tor, who spends his evenings seeking brief, anonymous encounters with men, shares his views on intimacy without commitment. The conversation prompts Marianne to question social norms and search for a new, freer form of emotional and sexual fulfilment in her daily life. 22348203
