A 59-year-old construction worker died on Friday after falling at a building site in the Amathus area of Limassol.
The incident occurred during dismantling work when the man lost his balance and fell from a height of approximately two metres. He was discovered by a colleague who immediately called emergency services.
Paramedics transported the victim to hospital where he was diagnosed with severe head trauma. He succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival, authorities said.
Police officers attended the scene to investigate the circumstances of the accident, and the Department of Labour Inspection has been notified.
