Three arrested in Larnaca after police find 165 dead wild birds and illegal weapons

Members of the Police conducted a search today under a judicial warrant at a fenced field belonging to a 54-year-old man in the Larnaca district.

During the search, three buckets were found containing a total of 165 dead wild birds, as well as an improvised sound-producing device and various other items, all of which were seized as evidence.

In a subsequent search of the 54-year-old’s car, the Police found three knives with pointed ends and a club (baton). The man was arrested for offences committed in the act (in flagrante delicto).

A 32-year-old man who was also present at the scene was also arrested, after three knives with pointed ends were found during a search of his car.

All items were seized and kept as evidence, while the two suspects were placed in custody.

Furthermore, a third person aged 28, who was also at the scene, was arrested and detained, as it was determined that he was residing illegally in the territory of the Republic of Cyprus.

The Aradippou Police Station continues the investigations.
