The International Festival of Nicosia made its own gesture of support to Israel, following the attack by Palestinian armed men on Israeli cities.
On Monday evening, the Israeli flag was illuminated at the metope of the Nicosia Municipal Theater.
In a statement, the International Festival of Nicosia noted that this “was our way of showing our support for the citizens of Israel for the terrorist attacks against them that resulted in civilian casualties.”
Israel is the honored country of the Nicosia International Festival 2023 and according to the post, “the artists from Israel along with the staff of the Embassy of Israel in Cyprus are neighbors, friends, and helpers in our efforts to build bridges of culture.”
