13 Teenagers End Up In Hospital After Limassol Halloween Party

Organisers of a Halloween party in Limassol on Saturday moved the event to a venue where minors were given alcohol, police said, citing initial information. Parents had known about the original venue, where no alcohol was to be served.

Thirteen teenagers aged 15 to 17 were later given first aid at several hospitals, though none of the cases was considered serious. Police have launched an investigation and the organisers are expected to face court.

The teenagers had already bought their tickets before the venue was changed, Limassol Assistant Police Director Lefteris Kyriakou told Sigma, adding that police had identified all 13.

Limassol CID said in a later update that it had so far taken statements from six parents whose children were at the party and drank alcohol.
