Seasonal low pressure affects Cyprus, bringing scattered showers to mountainous and inland areas, the Meteorological Department said on Wednesday.
The weather will be mainly clear today, though locally increased cloud cover is expected during midday and early afternoon.
These conditions may produce isolated showers and possible isolated thunderstorms in the mountains and inland regions.
Winds will blow mainly southwest to northwest, initially weak to moderate at force 3 to 4, strengthening later to moderate to strong at force 4 to 5. The sea will become gradually moderate.
Temperatures will rise to 35 degrees Celsius inland, around 33 degrees along the southern and eastern coasts, approximately 30 degrees along the western and northern coasts, and 27 degrees in the higher mountains.
The meteorological forecast indicates varying conditions across different coastal areas, with inland regions experiencing the highest temperatures. Mountain areas face the greatest likelihood of precipitation during afternoon hours.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday will see mainly clear weather, though locally increased cloud cover will develop during midday and early afternoon hours. These conditions may produce isolated showers, mainly in mountainous areas.
Temperature levels are not expected to show significant variation during the three-day period, remaining close to average climatological values for the season.
