Firefighters responded to two separate incidents at food businesses in Paphos on Saturday, involving a restaurant kitchen fire and a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) leak at a bakery.
According to the Fire Service, two fire engines with crews were dispatched to a restaurant at 2.24 pm after a fire broke out in the kitchen.
The fire was caused by a cooking utensil left unattended and was extinguished using a fire extinguisher before firefighters arrived.
Later, at 9.15 pm, two fire engines with crews responded to a gas leak at a bakery.
The leak came from a pressure gauge on a 500-litre LPG cylinder.
Firefighters shut off the regulator to stop the leak.
