Police are investigating after 20 bullets of various calibres were discovered in the toilets at Larnaca General Hospital yesterday evening.
Members of Larnaca Police rushed to the scene and collected the ammunition, according to police sources. The bullets included unshelled rounds and 7.62 calibre ammunition.
Sources said that the bullets were found in a nylon bag inside the women’s restrooms.
The seized items have been sent for ballistic examination and specialised DNA testing as police attempt to identify who left the bullets in the hospital toilets.
Larnaca Police have been put on alert following the discovery.
