A 47-year-old man wanted over an attempted murder at a construction site in Mouttagiaka, Limassol, handed himself in to police on Friday morning.
He is suspected of seriously wounding a 44-year-old man in the abdomen with a builder’s knife on Thursday. According to the evidence being examined, the two men allegedly got into an argument, during which the 47-year-old pulled out the knife and wounded the other man before fleeing.
The 44-year-old had surgery at a private clinic in Limassol and is in a stable condition and out of danger.
Police were told at around 8.15am on Thursday that an injured person was at the site, and officers went there straight away. An ambulance took the wounded man to the clinic.
