Coastal Larnaca will have another green jewel in the next couple of years after the Pattichion Park project is completed, Philenews reported on Saturday.
Fountains, an outdoor gym, viewpoints overlooking the salt lake and a beautiful botanical garden are among the features of the project which is expected to be completed in about 20 months.
The natural beauty of the Pattichion forest, located on an area of 381.609 sq.m. and in the heart of the city, will be highlighted after the redevelopment.

The redevelopment of the Pattihio Park will add to the ecological path walk around the Larnaca salt-lake area which is part of the Natura 2000 network.
The impressive Pattichion Park project design was presented publicly on Friday by Chrysanthos H. Chrysanthou & Co.
Larnaca Mayor Andreas Vyras said the ambitious project is in full cooperation with the Environment and Forestry Departments and the Game Service.
According to the designers of the project, not a single tree will be cut down from the Pattihion forest area. Instead, thousands more will be planted in order to enrich the greenery.
