The large fire that broke out in the Limnatis area of the Limassol district on Tuesday morning has been contained, Department of Forests spokesman Glafkos Kyriakou said.
Ground forces from the Department of Forests and four Fire Service vehicles operated in the area, according to initial information, while five aircraft joined the effort to bring the blaze under control.
Videos posted on the “Atlas” and “Kairofiloi Kyprou” pages showed the fire raging in a hard-to-reach area.
