Financial disagreements are suspected to be the motive behind the fatal shooting in Ormideia on Tuesday night.
According to philenews sources, the victim and perpetrator allegedly argued over a debt at the victim’s car painting shop. The perpetrator then allegedly shot the victim with a gun which seems to be a hunting rifle before fleeing the scene.

The victim, who was found with a gunshot wound to the head died at the scene.
Both the victim and the suspect were known to police for other cases, but not for organised crime, police sources mention.

The British Bases Police are leading the investigation and have cordoned off a large area in their search for the armed suspect.

In a morning briefing, authorities confirmed the discovery of an unidentified man’s body with a gunshot wound to the head.
The car repair shop owner, as was mentioned, is sought for questioning in connection with the shooting.

The Republic of Cyprus’s authorities were notified, and security checks at checkpoints have been increased.
