The dog beach in the Kassianes area (Spyros Beach) south of Larnaca Airport takes on a new character starting today, as the Municipality of Larnaca has upgraded it.
Specifically, sunbeds and umbrellas have been installed for use by bathers accompanying their dogs to the sea. Their use is free of charge. Additionally, the beach has been equipped with biological toilets and rubbish bins.
“Now, dogs and their owners can enjoy their walk and swim with greater ease,” says a statement from the Municipality of Larnaca.
The statement further added that, as part of its efforts for the proper coexistence of humans and animals, “beyond the various measures it implements for the protection of beloved four-legged friends, it has created a functional dog park that offers all the facilities needed for both dogs and their owners.”
It is noted that the Dog Park officially opened its doors in January 2021 and entrance is free.
