Cyprus will start Wednesday mostly clear, but increased local cloud developing after midday is expected to bring isolated rain, with an isolated storm not ruled out, particularly over the mountains.
Winds will be variable and light in the morning, at force 3, gradually turning mainly south-westerly to north-westerly and light to moderate, locally reaching force 4. The sea will be slight. Temperatures will reach around 36C inland, around 31C on the western and south-western coasts, around 33C on the remaining coasts, and around 28C over the higher mountains.
On Thursday, cloud will progressively increase, with rain and isolated storms expected in places during the afternoon, mainly over the mountains and inland areas; hail is possible during any storm. In the evening, local rain is expected at intervals, while isolated storms will develop mainly along the coast. Some dust may be suspended in the atmosphere.
Friday will be mostly cloudy at times, with local rain and initially isolated storms. On Saturday, isolated rain is expected in the afternoon, particularly over the mountains and inland areas.
Temperatures will fall noticeably and gradually until Friday, dropping below the seasonal average, before rising slightly again on Saturday.
