Nine of the teacher’s female students, who were in their second year of secondary school at the time, had filed complaints against him. The offences reportedly took place during class time.

The case first came to light on November 11 2022, when a student confided in someone about the incidents occurring in the classroom.

This initial report was followed by complaints from other students in the same class and from other classes.
