Images obtained by philenews show bullet damage to the vehicle where businessman and football figure Stavros Demosthenous was shot dead this morning in Limassol.
The images show marks from bullets that struck Demosthenou’s car whilst he was travelling with his son.
According to police sources, Demosthenous was on a road near his home when a van blocked his path and a person on a motorcycle pulled alongside his vehicle and opened fire.
His son attempted to drive him to hospital. A traffic accident occurred en route, immobilising the vehicle on the motorway where heavy traffic continues.
The son stopped a passing vehicle and asked the driver to take them to hospital, which he did.
Demosthenous died from his injuries.
