Hadjiloucas Constructions is adopting a different approach to contemporary residential living, one in which architecture, aesthetics, construction quality and sustainability operate as a single, unified approach. Its second consecutive accolade at the European Property Awards, four awards from four entries, confirms a trajectory built on consistency rather than one-off success.
Cyprus’s property market is undergoing a significant transition. Criteria such as location, floor area and price remain fundamental, but the concept of value has broadened, and these factors alone are no longer sufficient to determine a development’s true worth. Today’s buyer is looking for a space that reflects the way they live, work and grow — one with its own aesthetic identity, functionality, quality and lasting relevance.
This is precisely the philosophy Hadjiloucas Constructions sets out to serve. Property development is not treated as a process that begins and ends with the construction of a building, but as a comprehensive exercise in value creation. From site selection and architectural design through to materials, construction detailing and the ultimate experience of the people who will live or work in the space, every parameter forms part of the final outcome.
“We believe a good development shouldn’t have to choose between aesthetics and functionality. Real quality emerges when the two coexist, underpinned by sound design, construction consistency and respect for people’s needs,” notes Andreas Hadjiloucas, CEO of Hadjiloucas Constructions.
This approach carries even greater weight in a market where design is no longer a cosmetic addition but a core part of a property’s identity. A development’s aesthetic must be matched by well-judged proportions, functional floor plans, quality materials and details that serve everyday life. At the same time, sustainability is evolving from a narrow technical requirement into a fundamental element of contemporary design, shaping the way buildings are designed, built and used.
This philosophy is reflected across the company’s projects, and it is now gaining recognition on the international stage too. For the second consecutive year, Hadjiloucas Constructions was honoured at the European Property Awards, securing four awards across four different entries.
THE PROLOGUE #80 was recognised in the Apartment / Condominium Development category. CALLIOPE #83 was honoured in the Single Apartment / Condominium category. LAKEFRONT ECO TOWER #71 took the award in the Sustainable Residential Development category. And HADJILOUCAS HEADQUARTERS was recognised in the Office Interior category.
The significance of this year’s success lies partly in the range of categories involved. This is not the recognition of a single project or a particular aesthetic approach, but of four distinct projects that reflect different facets of the company’s philosophy: contemporary residential development, architectural design, sustainability and the design of professional spaces.
Lakefront is a case in point, where the project’s relationship with its natural surroundings and its emphasis on sustainable residential development are central to the design approach. THE PROLOGUE, by contrast, expresses a more urban vision of living, combining contemporary architecture, clean lines, quality materials and functional spaces in the heart of Nicosia.
This second consecutive presence at the European Property Awards therefore carries a broader significance for the company. Last year’s triple accolade and this year’s four-award success together form a continuum rooted in consistency rather than an isolated win.
The next chapter for Hadjiloucas Constructions is already taking shape, in the design and delivery of new projects, with the company continuing to invest in design, construction quality and the creation of spaces that meet the demands of contemporary life. In a market that is constantly evolving, the challenge is not simply to build more, but to build better.
At a time when property development is becoming ever more demanding, and competition is increasingly defined by quality rather than quantity, the real challenge for any developer is to create projects that outlast the moment of handover — projects that gain value through their use, their aesthetics, their functionality and their relationship with the city and the environment around them.
For Andreas Hadjiloucas, however, these accolades are no cause for complacency. “What matters most to us isn’t the award itself, but what it represents. International recognition confirms that our work meets specific standards of quality, but at the same time it increases our responsibility towards our future projects and towards the people who place their trust in us,” he says.

And perhaps that, ultimately, is the essence of contemporary property development: not to treat a property as a product, but as a space that will gain its value over time, through everyday life and through the experience of the people who choose to call it home.
