The civil servants will receive a 1.5% salary increase from Wednesday, marking their first pay rise in 15 years.
The increase comes alongside revisions to allowances, overtime rates, and cost of living adjustment (COLA) minimum thresholds.

The monthly gross increases vary by pay scale:

Deductions from the increases will include 2.65% for national health insurance, 4.4% for social insurance, 5% for pension contributions, and income tax.
Employees at grade 6 of scale A5 and above are subject to income tax rates of 20-35%.
The ministry also announced the renewal of the collective agreement for hourly-paid government workers for 2022-2024, which includes the same 1.5% increase for 2024, with no increases for 2022 and 2023.
The agreement includes additional provisions for scale combinations and increased employer welfare fund contributions.
