The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) has condemned the strike action announced by trade unions SEK, PEO and DEOK against members of the ready-mix concrete manufacturers association, according to a chamber statement.
The statement noted that responsibility for the industrial action lies entirely with the trade union movement, which rejected two mediation proposals submitted by the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance.
These proposals would have improved wages and benefits for workers in the ready-mix concrete sector.
The CCCI has called on the trade unions to lift the strike measures and return to negotiations to resolve existing differences.
