The tunnel on the Paphos-Limassol motorway will close in one direction at a time over two weeks in November for maintenance work, with traffic in both directions diverted through the remaining tunnel, police said.
The work will be carried out daily from 8am to 7pm. At 7pm each day the closed tunnel will reopen to traffic until work resumes at 8am the next day.
From Monday 9 to Friday 13 November, the Limassol-bound tunnel will be closed and traffic in both directions will use the Paphos-bound tunnel.
From Monday 16 to Friday 20 November, the Paphos-bound tunnel will be closed and traffic in both directions will use the Limassol-bound tunnel.
Police urged drivers to keep to a safe, low speed, leave a safe distance from the vehicle in front and follow the temporary road signs in the works area.
