A 75-year-old German man was found dead at his home in Livadia, Larnaca, shortly after 1pm on Monday, police said.
A process server who had gone to the house to serve him a summons noticed a strong smell coming from it and alerted police and the fire service, philenews understands. They found the man dead in the bathroom. His body was in an advanced state of decomposition.
Foul play has been ruled out at this stage. A post-mortem examination will establish the exact cause of death.
