Pafos FC secured the Cyprus Coca-Cola Cup title on Friday evening following a 2-0 victory against Apollon Limassol at the GSP Stadium in Nicosia, adding another trophy to the club’s recent domestic successes.

The victory follows the previous season, during which Pafos FC claimed both the Cypriot First Division league title and the domestic cup.

The match remained scoreless until late in the second half, despite an early opportunity for Apollon Limassol in the 18th minute.

Angelo Rodriguez intercepted a defensive pass from Domingos Quina, but his initial shot was blocked by goalkeeper Jay Gorter, and his subsequent attempt on the rebound struck the post.

Pafos FC broke the deadlock in the 85th minute when substitute Bruno Felipe moved from the right flank toward the centre and passed to Jaja, who sent a shot into the corner of the net.

Following the goal, Pafos FC manager Ricardo Sa Pinto was dismissed from the touchline with a red card in the 87th minute.

The win was confirmed in the 92nd minute during a counter-attack led by Jaja, who delivered a pass to Pepe in the penalty area for the second goal.

Following the final whistle, match play was disrupted as objects were thrown from the Apollon Limassol stands toward Gorter.
