Here’s a guide to what’s on in Cyprus today and over the coming days.
Patricia Highsmith’s psychological thriller The Talented Mr Ripley opens tonight at Nicosia’s Theatre One, while the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra continues its free Orchestra 4All outdoor concert series with a performance in Agios Trimithias. There is also a book launch, an award ceremony, and a clutch of new exhibitions opening across the island.
For those looking ahead, the Symphony Orchestra moves to Episkopi Kourio on Thursday and Tala on Friday, and the Limassol leg of the Ripley production follows at the Pattichion Municipal Theatre on Thursday evening.

Patricia Highsmith’s The Talented Mr Ripley comes to the stage in a production directed by Andreas Christodoulidis, bringing one of the 20th century’s most gripping psychological thrillers to life. Nicosia, Melina Mercouri Hall. The Man Who Broke the Code, directed by Eleni Anastasiou, explores the life of Alan Turing — the genius considered the father of modern computing and a founding figure of artificial intelligence — in Hugh Whitemore’s play. Nicosia, Is Not Gallery (99569498). Maria Koftero’s new solo exhibition Landscapes II / in vitro continues her artistic research into the concept of landscape, exploring the relationship between nature, perception and memory. Opening: 7.30pm. Until June 10.
Nicosia, EAC Head Office, Strovolos, 7pm. Echoes of Trees – Between Image and Verse is a joint presentation by the Cyprus Red Cross and the EAC bringing together photography and poetry by Cypriot artists. The opening evening will include a cello recital by Robertas Grod, performing works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Gaspar Cassadó and Giorgos Karvelos. Until June 1.

Paphos, Markideion Municipal Theatre, 8pm. The Municipality of Paphos presents Dialogues Without Words: The Clarinet Between Cultures, featuring Elina Georgiou on clarinet and Kyriacos Kyriacou on piano. Traditional Cypriot and Greek works arranged for the duo are paired with the Central European classical repertoire.
Books
Nicosia, Old Electricity Building, 6pm. Profiles – People Worth a Page, a collection of 38 interviews spanning journalist Anni Charalambous’s career, is launched today. The event will be introduced by deputy government spokesman Giannis Antoniou and lawyer Achilleas Dimitriadis.
Awards
Nicosia, CyBC Little Theatre, 7.30pm. The Cyprus Literary Association hosts the awards ceremony of the 2025 Bicommunal Short Story Competition and the launch of the winning stories collection. Speakers include Andreas Chrysanthou and Neshe Yasin, members of the CLA board, and Ahmet Yikik of the TCLAA board. The jury’s reasoning will be read by Christos R. Tsiailis. Excerpts will be read by the two award-winning authors, Fatma Turkoglu and Christoforos Christoforou, followed by a musical performance by composer Giorgos Kalogirou.
