Cyprus entered the post-election phase on Monday after voters chose the new composition of the House of Representatives in Sunday’s parliamentary elections.
DISY, AKEL, ELAM, DIKO, ALMA and Direct Democracy secured seats in the new House, while traditional parties, including EDEK and the Green Party, were left outside parliament.
The next step in the process is the formal declaration of the elected MPs and the representatives of the religious groups.
The ceremony will take place at noon at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre.
The political climate remained heated on Monday, with political figures continuing to comment and react through television, radio and social media.
