Police arrested a 20-year-old from Nicosia after a clash in the Agia Fyla area of Limassol on Friday night, where a group of young men allegedly forced their way into a house and tried to attack its occupants, according to police.
Police said they received information at around 9.35 pm about an incident outside a house in the area. A patrol supervisor and members of Limassol CID went to the scene for inquiries.
Preliminary examinations showed that a group of young men allegedly entered by force a house where foreign nationals live and tried to attack them, according to police.
The residents reacted by pushing the group out of the house and restraining one of the people allegedly involved in the incident.
During an attempt to get back into the house, the young men damaged two windows of the property, according to police.
Before the police arrived at the scene, the remaining people ran away.
