Severe weather conditions on Saturday afternoon have damaged livestock facilities across multiple communities in Limassol and Paphos.
The affected communities in the Limassol district include Agios Amvrosios, Anogira, Avdimou, Dora, Malia, Pachna, Prasteio Avdimou, Kyvides and Sotira. In Paphos, the communities of Anarita, Mamonia and Choletria were impacted.
In Paphos, agricultural holdings also suffered damage, particularly in eastern and western communities, affecting outdoor vegetable crops, olive trees and avocado plantations.
Agriculture Department officials will conduct site visits today to assess the extent of the damage. Following the assessment, affected farmers can submit damage claims through local district offices.
The ministry said it aims to complete damage assessment and provide support to farmers as quickly as possible. Affected farmers and livestock breeders are urged to contact their local district agricultural offices immediately at 25809903 and 25803909 for Limassol, 26804594 and 26804601 for Paphos.
