Police are investigating a serious incident at a primary school in Larnaca following a complaint filed on October 19 by a father who reported his son was bullied and injured while trying to escape his tormentors.
The eight-year-old boy was initially taken to Larnaca Hospital before being transferred to Nicosia Hospital, where he underwent surgery after being injured by broken glass from a door.
The child has since been discharged and is expected to provide a video-recorded statement to police in the coming days.
According to philenews sources, the father’s complaint specifically concerns how the school handled the incident.
Both school services and the Ministry of Education have been notified of the allegations.
