The Ministry of Interior announced that in preparation for the forthcoming European Parliament elections scheduled for June 9, 2024, polling stations will be in operation abroad.
These stations will be located in Greece, the United Kingdom, and Belgium, catering to voters already on the electoral roll or those who register by April 2, 2024.
To facilitate the functioning of these overseas polling stations, a dedicated electoral register is currently being compiled, based on declarations of interest.
As per electoral legislation, polling stations abroad can only operate in cities where the number of voters submitting declarations exceeds fifty.
For individuals holding an electoral booklet who wish to exercise their voting rights overseas, a declaration must be submitted by April 2, 2024.
The declaration can be submitted electronically through the elections website at elections.gov.cy or in hard copy by completing the relevant form.
Hard copies should be submitted to the Embassies/Consulates of the Republic abroad, the relevant District Administration Offices, Citizen Service Centers (KEP), Citizen Centers (KE.PO.) of the Cyprus Postal Services, and the Election Service of the Ministry of Interior.
The form is available on the elections.gov.cy website and at the specified locations.
