The Government Spokesperson, Constantinos Letymbiotis, has called on Parliament to promptly advance the bill for the creation of the Deputy Ministry of Migration.

Responding to inquiries about the establishment of the Deputy Ministry of Migration, Mr. Letymbiotis stated that the bill was submitted to Parliament last June.

He reiterated that the Government has repeatedly urged Parliament to pass it into law.

He noted a significant improvement in managing migration flows, with a 50% increase in returns and a 50% reduction in arrivals.

The establishment of the Ministry of Deputy Migration will play a crucial role in expediting procedures even further and enhancing the overall management of migration, he added.

“Therefore, we expect and urge the House of Representatives to expedite it as soon as possible,” he concluded.
