Summertime ends on Sunday, 29 October, at 4:00 a.m., and watches and clocks must be moved back one hour.
The summer time period is terminated by a decree published in the Official Gazette on 9 July 2021, which provides for a six-monthly change of time until October 2026.
The above change is applied in all European Union countries, an official of the Ministry of Energy told Philenews, clarifying that there is no development in relation to the European Parliament resolution adopted in 2018, which dealt with the abolition of the time change.
In addition to the reactions the resolution had caused, several member states did not agree as there was not enough analysis of the impact of the proposal. Eventually, an opinion was sought from the Legal Service of the European Council and there has been no progress since then.
