A new true crime documentary on Cyprus’s first serial killer, known as “Orestis,” has premiered on ERT’s streaming platform ERTFLIX, built around the testimony of the man who first spotted signs of a body in an abandoned mine.
“Pleiades” is an independent documentary series recording the story of “Orestis.” It sets out to show how different people experienced the biggest criminal case to shock the country, focusing on personal testimonies and the human side of events.
The most affecting account comes from the man who first noticed signs of a body in the shaft of an abandoned mine in Mitsero. That moment marked the start of a case that would go on to shock Cypriot society and expose his crimes.
Andreas Seitanis directed the documentary, with research carried out by Paris Prokopiou and Michalis Terzis.
