Eight Christmas villages will operate across Cyprus from 22 November 2025 to 6 January 2026, the Deputy Ministry of Tourism announced today.
This year’s destinations are located in all districts and include Agros, Deryneia, Kakopetria, Kalopanagiotis, Kyperounta, Lefkara, Statos-Agios Fotios and Fikardou.
The Deputy Ministry of Tourism said it had completed the evaluation of applications under the grant scheme for community and municipal councils included in the “Heartland of Legends” route.
The selected destinations will welcome visitors with festive decorations, wooden chalets selling local products and handicrafts, and a rich programme of events.
The Christmas villages will offer experiential handicraft and oenogastronomic workshops, nature activities such as hiking and cycling, and guided tours of the villages. Restaurants and accommodation in the wider area will also propose festive menus, providing a comprehensive hospitality experience for local and foreign visitors.
The Tourism Deputy Ministry said the aim is for the villages “to be enriched each year with new content, so that they become a pole of attraction for Cypriots and tourists”.
The villages will operate on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 22 November to 21 December 2025, whilst from 22 December to 6 January they will be open daily. Additionally, they will operate on Fridays 12 and 19 December.
Information about the programme and activities will be posted on the website www.christmasvillages.com.cy.
