The oldest candidate contesting this year’s legislative elections, 89-year-old Christakis Rotsidis, has cast his ballot in Limassol, where he is running for a parliamentary seat as an independent.
Rotsidis chose to enter the electoral race without any political party backing, stating that he “launched his candidacy as an independent member of parliament because he wants to be elected based on his own strengths rather than relying on the support of others”.
