Cleaning begins of MV Hondius at the Port of Rotterdam following hantavirus outbreak

Staff prepare for the cleaning of the cruise ship MV Hondius after its arrival in the Port of Rotterdam, the Netherlands, 19 May 2026. Upon the arrival of the cruise ship in Rotterdam, the crew members will undergo a medical screening and then go into quarantine. Several passengers on the Hondius were infected with the hantavirus. Three people on board have died.
