Occupying Turkey’s usual launderers pile in every five minutes to attack anyone who doubts the intentions of whichever Turkish Cypriot leader happens to be in charge. Lately they have lined up, armed with keyboards, to defend Tufan Erhurman.
But instead of hurling abuse and picking fights, wouldn’t it be wiser for them to ask Tufan’s left-wing comrades here what they are saying now, a year after his election? They have been trying to reach him for a year to swap views. He won’t lower himself to reply.
Plenty of these launderers also hang about in the backstreets of the Cypriot Left, so let them prick up their ears and hear what the comrades are saying about their one-time friend, Tufan.
