While many believe that printed books belong to the past and bookshops are ancient history, they clearly haven’t noticed what’s happening on the other side of the Atlantic.
Those who have visited the United States will be familiar with Barnes & Noble bookshops. Well, this particular bookstore chain is sending a powerful message to those who still cherish books in their printed form.
The company plans to open 60 new stores during 2025, following the opening of 57 bookshops throughout 2024. And for this turnaround, Barnes & Noble has to thank platforms like TikTok, as young people use the platform to showcase their books on what’s known as “BookTok.”
