Authorities are investigating criminal damage to the vehicle and destruction of camera flash system equipment last night at the Lakatamia municipality in Nicosia.
The vandalism was reported to police by an employee of the company managing the mobile traffic cameras.
According to a police report, based on the complaint made, around 11 last night, as the employee was inside the vehicle, parked at an open area in Lakatamia and in operation, individuals unknown to him smashed and damaged the back of the car, where the camera system was located.
The camera system was also damaged.
The Nicosia CID gathered evidence on-scene and is investigating, with no clues yet as to the identity of the perpetrators.
