UN Assistant Secretary-General Rosemary DiCarlo, who met with Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos in Doha, Qatar yesterday, will visit Cyprus in early 2025.
Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis said that the meeting discussed convening an informal multilateral meeting on the Cyprus issue, with both sides agreeing that necessary groundwork should precede any such meeting.
He noted that as part of this process, DiCarlo will visit the region at the beginning of the new year.
Letymbiotis did not rule out the possibility of a joint meeting between President Christodoulides and Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar during the visit.
