Today, the two suspects, aged 41 and 44, in the murder case of 55-year-old Thanasios Kalogeropoulos are once again brought before the Limassol Court.

They were the first to be arrested in connection with the case.

According to information from the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department, investigators are expected to request an extension of their detention for another two days to align with the expiration of the detention order for the other two suspects, aged 22 and 21.

The case is scheduled to be officially registered this Thursday, with the case file initially transferred to the Legal Service to provide instructions on individuals to be referred to trial before the Criminal Court.

Reportedly, the 41-year-old is scientifically identified as one of Kalogeropoulos’ executioners and as the motorcycle driver.

Genetic material found on one of the hoods used by the assailants to commit the murder, located at the crime scene, matched the DNA of the 41-year-old suspect.

Additionally, the telecommunications data of the 41-year-old appears incriminating, as it was discovered that he received a signal from an area near the residence of the 21-year-old suspect and alleged second perpetrator in the early hours of October 30, before the murder.

The same number also received a signal from an antenna located in the murder area and another from an antenna in the arson location.

On the other hand, the 44-year-old suspect is the individual who provided his mansion in Skarinou for the organization and planning of Kalogeropoulos’s execution.

The 44-year-old is also reported to have provided the rental vehicle in his possession. Closed-circuit circuits captured the vehicle travelling to and from the mansion, in the area where the perpetrators’ vehicle was torched, and it was used to transport the 21-year-old suspect from his home in the early hours of the murder.
