A fire broke out at 7.50 am on Saturday in the ground-floor parking area of a two-storey house in the community of Ayia Marina.
According to the fire service, the blaze started in a pile of clothes soaked in linseed oil before spreading to a small amount of timber and household equipment.
The fire caused minor damage to the paintwork on the walls.
Two fire engines responded, with crews bringing the blaze under control.
An investigation found that the fire was caused by spontaneous combustion.
