Neither adverse weather nor other obstacles deterred demonstrators from gathering outside the Presidential Palace to protest the recent dismissal of Auditor General Odysseas Michaelides.

Around 4 p.m., crowds began assembling, holding banners in support of the former Auditor General, with messages calling for a crackdown on corruption. The demonstration saw participation from political parties including AKEL, EDEK, and the Ecologists’ Movement, as well as supporters of Michaelides and independent citizens voicing opposition to corruption and the political establishment.

Thousands of protesters gathered outside the Presidential Palace, with police enforcing strict security measures to maintain order.
