President Nikos Christodoulides will visit the remote Tylliria region and Polis Chrysochous tomorrow, December 7, as part of his ongoing tour of municipalities and communities across Cyprus to engage with civil society.
The presidential tours are part of the Christodoulides government’s policy to understand and address societal needs, in an effort to demonstrate its commitment to resolving long-standing issues and improving quality of life for residents in mountainous and rural areas.
Tomorrow’s visit follows the president’s first tour to Amiantos for the Troodos communities, part of his visits across the free areas of Cyprus.
During the visit, Christodoulides will assess the progress of initiatives launched by his government over the past 19 months and announce new infrastructure projects and policy actions to support these regions, in line with his administration’s broader development plan for all districts.
A significant highlight is the designation of Kato Pyrgos Tyllirias as Cyprus’s first Green Community, to be implemented through a roadmap of policies and actions.
The Cabinet-approved Tylliria Revitalisation Plan, encompassing various sectors, will also be presented.
Christodoulides will be accompanied by relevant ministers and deputy ministers, who will examine issues within their portfolios and present newly announced actions and policies.
