People need to be patient today, as the Assumption Day holiday means traffic congestion virtually all across Cyprus, with Nicosia turning into a ghost town and those not working are driving up the mountains or coastal resorts.
The Akaki-Troodos highway was the busiest this morning, with authorities calling on drivers to maintain low speed and distance from vehicles ahead.
There will be increased patrols through the day at major intersections, with police facilitating traffic.
