Food delivery riders working in Paphos Old Town are reporting a rise in organised attacks and thefts, mainly at weekends, according to a post by RoadReportCY.
Riders told RoadReportCY they are increasingly falling victim to ambushes by groups of young people in the area.
According to the report, attackers place fake orders using false details, stating cash on delivery as the payment method, in order to lure riders to a location where they are robbed of the food and money.
Riders also report theft of and damage to their motorbikes.
The workers say the authorities have not intervened effectively so far.
