A fire broke out Friday evening following an explosion at a desalination plant between Mandria and Kouklia areas in Paphos, authorities said.
The blaze spread rapidly through a large section of the facility. No injuries were reported, as workers managed to evacuate safely.
Five fire engines are at the scene, alongside members of the ATLAS volunteer firefighting team.
Initial assessments suggest the fire originated in the plant’s storage area.
