Police in Nicosia are investigating a case of attempted murder after a 21-year-old man was seriously injured in a stabbing.
Police said they received information at around 1:15am that the injured man had been taken to Nicosia General Hospital. He remains in hospital in critical condition.
One person is already being questioned in connection with the case, and an arrest warrant is expected to be issued. Police investigations and examinations are continuing.
